Rein, the first thing I saw when I opened your blog was the Dutch name for plane and I couldn't help smiling because English-speakers are lazy. I think we expect everyone else to speak and write English for our convenience. Wouldn't it be funny to lock ten English speakers in a room and ask them to learn how to pronounce "vliegtuigje". I think they would be there for a very long time!! What a great word!!
